Supporting you and your relationships, as you challenge the status quo to find your authentic path.

Couple and Family Therapist in Denver, CO

  • You and your partner(s) are either constantly fighting or avoiding one another.

  • You and your teen or young adult child just can’t get along.

  • You’re interested in opening up your relationship, and are feeling jealousy and resentment.

  • Your polycule or triad is a hot mess.

  • You’re feeling stuck and are curious if ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP) might help.

  • You feel like you just can’t communicate well with anyone in your life currently.

  • You are going through a big life transition and you don’t have anyone in your life to discuss some big emotions and decisions.

Do any of these sound familiar?

Perhaps you think a couple and family therapist won’t “get” your issues because they are “too traditional.” I’m a different kind of therapist and I’m here for you.

Together we can question the way things have always been done.

Let’s banish the patterns that no longer serve you or your relationships.

I’m Pam Peters, a couple and family therapist who works in-person in Denver and doing online counseling throughout Colorado. I hold space for anyone who wants to rethink living life on autopilot. I believe that when we are able to live authentically, we become stronger and our relationships can heal and grow. I can help you courageously question the way things have always been done so you can have the relationships you’ve always wanted.

Where shall we meet?

I see clients in-person and online throughout Colorado only. I provide a HIPAA-compliant video platform that allows us to do life-changing therapy even if you’re unable to come into the office.

You value flexibility. If you can find a private location and a strong internet connection, we can do this work from the comfort of your own home--or your camper van.

I also see clients in Denver parks for a nature-based therapy approach. This fresh-air filled modality taps into the healing qualities of our natural environment.

I work out of two offices near central Denver. I see clients Tuesday and Thursday inside People House, an historic Victorian building just East of Sloan’s Lake. The space is quirky and homey with lots of history.

I also see clients in Capitol Hill near Denver City Park on Wednesdays at 1622 Race Street.

Your life is more than black and white

Photo of painted rocks. One says Love. Another is a rainbow.

You believe you can have connections with others and be a strong individual. You want to work and play. You want to have your cake and eat it too. Life is complex, with more than one or two ways to do it all. You get to choose the rainbow of colors, that’s right for you. If you believe in “Yes And,” reach out for a free 15-minute phone call to see if my approach is right for you.

How does this work?

  • (1) Reach out

Let’s schedule an initial free 15-minute phone or video call. I’ll tell you a bit about how I work and you can tell me a bit about what you are seeking. If it feels like a fit, we can schedule our first session. Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with, is one of the most important components in therapy’s success!

  • (2) Getting to know each other

As you become more comfortable in our sessions, I will begin to better understand you, your couple, or your family. We will all learn to identify existing patterns, as well ast what works, what doesn’t, your strengths as well as your challenges.

  • (3) Show up

We’ll continue to meet weekly (or biweekly) to get to the heart of the issue, find solutions that work, and create new and more balanced ways to connect with one another. We’ll set goals
so we ca measure progress, celebrate change, and eventually determine when to conclude the current round of therapy.

You already have strength, resilience, and healing within you. Allow me to help you lean into that power.

I work with unconventional individuals, couples, polycules, and families who struggle with disconnection and conflict to find deeper, more authentic ways to connect and heal their relationships.
